Derek has been playing guitar from an early age and has played with many bands over the years both in professional and semi- professional capacity, a very grounded all round guitarist able to apply his ability to most styles of music which has made him a much sought after guitarist over the years.
He is also overwhelmed at being given the opportunity to be able to use the bands Roland GR-20 Guitar synthesizer with all the different instruments he has access to add a wider range of song choice.
At this juncture he is a professional musician teaching the young and older students passing on his knowledge which gives him great satisfaction, but his first love is playing in front of people to which there is no better feeling and to be part of a great band.
