Mal was born in Sunderland but is a staunch Newcastle Utd supporter for his sins started wacking the skins in 1977 and plyed his trade playing with some top bands on the Northern Club circuit and up and down the Country for many years and has finely tuned his craft as an outstanding drummer to which there is no doubt once you see him play you would agree.
He is a great vocalist adding rich backing vocals to demanding songs that are known for harmony parts, He also records the band from time to time so we can see where improvements can be applied. He is a major part of the engine room of our tight ship.
Mal uses a very rare and well gigged Remo Encore drum kit with Zildjian A and Paiste 2002 cymbals. He also uses a Roland TD12 electronic drum module with Roland triggers. and a BC2 BumChum drum throne which he would,nt be without. Mal uses a AKG C410 wireless headset mic for his vocals.
