Born in Sunderland in 1961, but must stress is a staunch Newcastle Utd supporter for his sins,Mal has been playing Drums for 30 years, and plied his trade on the Northern Club circuit for over 16 years playing with some of the top North East Bands up and down the Country, to coin the phrase " Been there, done it, got the T-Shirt " is a understatement with Mal ! After relocating to the Northants area to live and work as a HGV Driver, Mal took a 12 year break from drumming, but got itchy feet in 2005 and joined Mustang Blue for his 1st gig on New Years Eve of that year, and has never looked back,bringing a solid, powerfull beat to the band, along with his strong backing vocals and his wicked sense of humour. Mal is loved by the lads for his drumming,but loathed for his flatulance and bringing a nasty pong to the bands van on the way to gigs ! and hitting the drums that hard, that the lads have to turn down there hearing aids ! Mal loves his Curries, Aufedersein Pet, Peter Kays Pheonix Nights,Soccer AM, Have i got news for you, and spends a lot of time on You Tube and riding his ST1100 Pan European motorcycle, and is partial to the odd pint or 3 of Grolsh, Stella or Kronenberg 1664 !
